Congratulations to our boys and girls basketball teams for doing so well in the inter-schools basketball league. They really enjoyed the experience.
The wet day hasn’t dampened the children’s spirits on yard today. It’s the first week back after the Easter Holidays and the children are straight back into their games timetable. 1st class very enthusiastically showed off their basketball skills. 2nd class played dodge ball (below the knees of course!), while 3rd & 4th class created their own playground games. It was business as usual
Congratulations to all the children from Baconstown who took part in this years St Patrick’s Day parade in Enfield. The entry, which was arranged by the Parents’ Association, won the prize for Best Entry. The theme they chose was “green”, so the children dressed in costumes made out of re-recyclable material. Great day was had by all!
Well done to Brooke Flynn who represented our school in Pairc Tailteann yesterday playing at half time in the Meath v Cork senior football league game.
Congratulations to Christopher Nolan from 6th Class who won our school Spelling Bee. Christopher will now take part in the Eason Spelling Bee county final in Ratoath on March 1st. Well done Christopher and best of luck in the final.
On Wednesday 31st January, 5th class celebrated Grandparents’ Day. We invited our families to join us for a prayer service in the school hall. Then we had refreshments, a cup of tea and a chat! Click in to see some photos from this event!
