All Fun and Games!

The wet day hasn’t dampened the children’s spirits on yard today.  It’s the first week back after the Easter Holidays and the children are straight back into their games timetable.  1st class very enthusiastically showed off their basketball skills.  2nd class played dodge ball (below the knees of course!), while 3rd & 4th class created their own playground games.  It was business as usual

Baconstown wins top prize at Enfield St Patrick’s Day Parade

Congratulations to all the children from Baconstown who took part in this years St Patrick’s Day parade in Enfield.  The entry,  which was arranged by the Parents’ Association, won the prize for Best Entry.  The theme they chose was “green”, so the children dressed in costumes made out of re-recyclable material.  Great day was had by all!


Brooke represents Baconstown in Pairc Tailteann

Well done to Brooke Flynn who represented our school in Pairc Tailteann yesterday playing at half time in the Meath v Cork senior football league game.

Baconstown Spelling Bee 2018

Congratulations to Christopher Nolan from 6th Class who won our school Spelling Bee.  Christopher will now take part in the Eason Spelling Bee county final in Ratoath on March 1st.  Well done Christopher and best of luck in the final.    


Credit Union Quiz 2018

Congratulations to our pupils who took part in the Credit Union Quiz last Sunday. One of our teams finished 2nd in the u11 competition and another team placed 3rd In the u13 competition! Well done to all who took part.


Kerrie & Patrick receive Spirit of the Final award

Congratulations to Kerrie Cole and Patrick Jordan who won the Spirit of the Final award for the Camogie and Hurling Cumann na mBunscol finals.


Mini 7’s Camogie Winners 2017

Baconstown girls finished off an amazing year in sport for the school by winning the Mini 7’s competition in Dunganny on Wednesday 6th Dec.


Baconstown Hurlers make it a Double…

Congratulations to Ms Murphy and the school hurling team who completed the double on Saturday by winning the Cumann na mBunscol Division 2 Hurling final in Trim by beating Kill NS with a score line of 5-6 to 1-3.
