Raising the Flag

As part of the 1916 commemorations, our school took part in Proclamation Day 2016.  During this ceremony, children read their individual and class Proclamations which was followed by the raising of the Irish flag and the singing of the National Anthem. Click in for more photos..


Trip to RTÉ

Following a successful visit to RTÉ earlier this month, Ms Murphy with 4th & 5th class were invited back to be part of the audience for the shooting of “Mighty Friday”, a children’s music and chat show.  The show will be aired on Friday 1st April 2016 on RTÉ2. Click in for more photos!

Mini 7’s progress to Finals

Baconstown boys Mini 7s team have successfully made it out of their group to reach the 7s final in Dunganny after on 5th April.  


Swipe TV

Killian Hanley & Katie Kelly together with Ms Murphy travelled to RTÉ on Friday 4th March to shoot a programme for popular kids channel Swipe TV.  


Grandparent’s Day

To celebrate Grandparent’s Day, Fr Michael said mass in the school and the grandparents of 5th & 6th classes were invited to attend with their grandchildren from these classes.  Click in to see some photos…


Success at Credit Union Quiz

Baconstown U13 teams finished 1st and 2nd in this years Credit Union quiz which took place in Enfield on 31st January 2016.  Well done to all who took part. .  


School Closure

The school will be closed on Friday 26th February to facilitate voting for the upcoming general election.
